We desperately need to rehome some of our suitable, adoption-ready dogs, This will allow us to rescue other dogs who are desperately in need of our care and services. We offer guidance and on-going support to the adoptive family to ensure everything runs smoothly. Please consider our travel ready dogs. Remember, you will not only be offering a loving home to a dog in need but will also be freeing up space in our shelter so we can take in another dog desperately in need of help. NEW ARRIVALS
Arnie
Arnie was found in a dreadful state having been hit by car – two broken legs and a damaged hip he was in terrible pain and we needed to do something! He was taken to our vet where he endured two operations and then had to recover. He has recently been taken to our shelter and is being looked after by Volkan in Nigde.
Dogs like Arnie are not cheap to treat – his vet bill was over £700 but without Forgotten dogs of Turkey getting involved he would have had little hope of surviving on the streets of Turkey.

Other News:
May was found with her sibling Daisy on the streets of Nidge. Both had distemper which Daisy didn’t survive. The Photos below show how our volunteer found them both and because of our supporters May is now living the life she deserves in Germany
A new arrival!
News spreads quickly in Nidge and obviously word had got out that we had rescued a donkey because volkan found himself facing a young Horse that that needed our help. Its owner had died and his children did not want to keep the colt and asked Volkan if he could help. It was very hard to say no as the alternative was to leave the colt at the local park with no protection from the stray dogs or indeed from the local villagers who may not take too kindly to a stray colt wandering around!
So can I introduce you all to our new resident”
A young colt who is getting on really well with our resident dogs and velvet our donkey!

FUN FACT OF THE MONTH
What are odd facts about dogs?
Dogs yawn for different reasons than we do. They don't usually do it because they're tired
or have a buildup of CO2—the most common reason is because they're feeling anxious about
something. They also do it to empathize with you when you yawn.
