Jackie Primrose
Rehoming advice and artist
Jackie is one of the original members. She is our resident artist, raising much needed funds by auctioning her paintings, as well as offering rehoming advice. Jackie works as a mobile hairdresser part time, She lives with her husband and 5 rescue dogs, and they have a holiday home near one of the shelters in Turkey, where they often go to help out with the dogs. She also does emergency fostering for ill and injured animals ,

Clare Maddock
Rehoming advice
Clare Maddock is one of the founders of Forgotten Dogs of Turkey after after watching an upsetting video of dogs in a shelter in Kozan and feeling compelled to help. She works to rehome the dogs and is also to get FDOT to charitable status. Clare has always loved dogs and currently participates in weekly dog training. She is retired, has two sons , a cat, a dog, and tropical fish. She plays the saxophone, enjoys Gardening, and is currently writing her first novel.

Julie Cooper
Fundraising
Julie Cooper is our Treasurer and runs our forgotten dogs fundraising page.
She initially got involved with FDOT through the fundraising auctions as a supporter, taking over when the original lady had to leave.
Julie works full-time as Office Manager for a property company and investment company. A mum of two grown up boys she lives in Leeds with her husband and two dogs; Willow and Rex, her lovely adopted FDOT dog

Susan Hoffmann
Fundraising
Susanne Hoffmann is helps with fundraising, specifically the 100 Club. She also helps create our calendars. Susanne has been with FDOT since near the beginning. She is a retired police officer and lives in Germany with her husband and 3 rescue dogs from Romania, Slovakia and Turkey.

Julie Tucker
Gift Aid Admin
Julie joined FDOT in September 2024. Julie now organises the contact and gathering of Gift Aid documentation. A avid reader Julie had her first children’s short story published a few years ago. Julie has two adult children and four grown up grandchildren. She lives by the coast with her husband of 50 years.

Bryony Pointon
Webpage Manager
Bryony manages our webpage. She is a GP and remote doctor, and wanted to help Turkish dogs after responding to the earthquake,
She volunteers with Cats Protection, fostering cats and kittens., She enjoys silversmithing, wood carving and painting., and lives near Chichester, with her husband, 2 cats and Turkish rescue dog Polar.

Claire Walker Smith
Foster Admin and Tik Tok
Claire has recently joined the team. She regularly visits Turkey and as an animal lover was appalled by the recent decision to cull the street dogs. Wanting to do all she can to help she has adopted 2 FDOT dogs and now runs our Tik Tok account and will help with fostering. Claire lives with her husband and has 3 children and 3 dogs.
